When it came it was well packed. In plastic and in a box so no split bags Had some from another company and the bag of sand was split when it arrived so had a bit of a mess in the house

The wood pellets for me, seem to be better at keeping odours at bay. This particular product is really good value. I order 2 large bags at a time, since I have 3 cats, which last about a month.
