Description

The patented Baskerville Ultra was designed by Dr Roger Mugford to protect against bites but at the same time be comfortable for the dog.

The ergonomically designed safety strapping ensures the muzzle will always remain securely in place and features two additional points of secure attachment. The loop at the bottom is designed to attach to your dog’s regular collar and there is an optional, removable over-head safety strap. The Ultra Muzzle also has a secure metal buckle with pre-holed webbing, to ensure it is fully adjustable, quick and easy to fit. It is also 'treat friendly' allowing you to reward your dog whilst wearing it, essential during behaviour modification programmes.

There are lots of situations where using a muzzle can greatly benefit any dog, and responsible owners are now proactively using this tool for visits to the groomers, public transport or to prevent wildlife scavenging. The Baskerville Ultra Muzzle offers clever features to improve ease of use and your dog’s comfort, whilst strongly retaining our product promise of safety first. Bully XL

The UK govt has announced that Bully XL type dogs have been added to the banned breeds list in England and Wales. From 31st December 2023 all Bully XLs must be kept on a lead and muzzled in public.

 

Size Guide

Length: Measure the distance from the tip of the nose to the base of the nose just below the eyes.

Width: Measure around the circumference of the widest part of the nose, usually just below the eyes.

What is the right muzzle size for my dog?

Please use the sizing guide on this page in the Image Gallery to determine which sizing category your dog falls into. If your dog's nose length and circumference fall into different sizing categories, please use the nose length measurement to determine the best size.

How do I acclimatise my dog to wearing a muzzle ?

It's important to remember that for your dog having a new training aid on their head / face will feel unusual for your dog and it is perfectly normal reaction for them to try and remove it. We encourage you to help your dog acclimatise to the muzzle by using positive associations methods. This can be through using treats to encourage your dog to place their nose into the muzzle and placing the muzzle on the dog for a few seconds, then taking the muzzle off and rewarding immediately. Build up the length of time the muzzle is on slowly, so your dog has time to adjust. You can find more information on how to do this with the 'how-to' video on this page. If your dog is trying to take the muzzle off, try to distract them with a treat or their favourite toy to stop this behaviour. In the early days of acclimatising your dog we strongly recommend you use the collar loop and the headstrap for increased security and stability and minimise muzzle movement if your dog tries to remove it.

**For orders over £59 where the total order weight is greater than 25kg, the delivery for the first 25kg will be free and then we will charge £3.00 per 15kg after that. Large items can incur a charge depending on the volume of the item.

 

Large and Extra Heavy Item Delivery

If your order weight is over 25kg then it may be split into multiple consignments to ensure your safety and increase the ease of handling. We will endeavour to ensure both consignments arrive at the same time however due to decisions by our courier this may not always be possible.

Unfortunately, due to costs imposed on us from our courier, some large items will have a surcharge applied to them. This charge will appear in your cart when you checkout.

 

Live food Delivery

Live food delivery starts at £4.49 and we use a fully tracked next day service for this.

 

Frozen Food Delivery

Please see above for information about delivery days, times and rates. In certain circumstances orders may be delayed without prior notification. On occasions couriers may deliver your parcel at 48 hours, not 24 hours. These circumstances are out of our control therefore we do not guarantee a next day delivery service. We do not track orders so will not be able to notify you of courier delays. We will not replace or refund orders that have been rejected by the customer at 48 hours due to courier delays. Our boxes do keep everything frozen for 48 hours.

We will not replace/refund goods which have thawed upon an unsuccessful delivery due to no one being home to receive goods.

Orders placed after Thursdays 12.30pm will not be dispatched until Monday. Please note this will extend your delivery time.

You will receive an email from us the day before delivery notifying dispatch, please ensure you are home for the delivery, if you are going to be out, please get in touch to arrange a more suitable day.

 

International Delivery

Please note international delivery is temporarily unavailable.

Please note certain large and fragile products are excluded from international delivery. If your order is over 30kg, please checkout as normal and you will have the option to request a shipping quote from us. Delivery time to the following locations is 2 working days. Delivery will be automatically calculated during checkout, or visit our delivery page for a full list of international delivery rates.

 

How quickly will my order arrive?

Our aim is to dispatch all items within the allocated dispatch times (Same day/24 hour/48 hour dispatch). Please note if your order contains multiple items, the order dispatch time will be from the item with the longest dispatch time to ensure you receive your whole order in a single delivery.

We will send you a notification email when your order has been dispatched.

While we always try our best to dispatch every order following the above guidelines, during extremely busy periods dispatch times may increase by up to one day. We will keep you updated on the status of your order via email.


Delivery notifications & tracking

We will email you when your order is dispatched by us and if you provide a mobile number when you checkout our courier will email you on the day of delivery with a delivery slot.

In your dispatch confirmation email we will include any relevant tracking numbers.

We have teamed up with DHL to provide our customers with the best delivery service possible which is both fast and flexible.

If we miss you on the first delivery attempt, we will try again the next working day. Alternatively, you can visit DHL and easily re-arrange your delivery to something which suits you better! You can choose from the following options:

Returns

Here at The Pet Express we want you to enjoy every time you shop with us. Occasionally we know you may want to return items, we have tried to make our terms as clear as possible to avoid any nasty surprises.

  • Products can be returned up to 14 days from date of delivery for a full refund or exchange.
  • Any free gifts must be returned with your order or we withhold the right to deduct the RRP value of the free gift from your refund.
  • We are unable to accept part used returns of food, engraved ID tags, damaged products (unless delivered damaged) or veterinary medicines.
  • You are responsible for the cost of returning the product back to us, unless they arrive damaged, faulty or the incorrect item is delivered.
  • The product must be in its original packaging, unopened and in a re-saleable condition and the cost of collection or return will remain at your charge. 
  • We only accept returns for products that have been purchased through us.
  • Medicines: We regret that we cannot, by law, accept returns of any medication including all flea treatments and wormers. If you return a medicine to us all we can do is dispose of it for you as it cannot be resold.
